Treat Your Toothbrush Like...Royalty?

Brushing and flossing is by far the golden grail of maintaining proper oral care. But, if your toothbrush looks like a used sponge, you're not doing yourself any favors.

In fact, experts say that toothbrush bristles that are frayed and over used, are often ineffective at removing plaque. While this may seem like a minute detail, if you wish to keep those healthy teeth and gums in minty fresh condition, we recommend you listen up!

Don't Cover Your Wet Toothbrush. Allow your toothbrush to dry before being covered. If you cover your brush while it is wet, it can cause bacterial growth and germs.

Rinse Your Toothbrush Thoroughly. Once you're done brushing up, rinse your toothbrush under water until all remaining debris and toothpaste are wiped clean from the bristles.

Store Your Toothbrush Properly. Brushes are best placed in an upright position to allow for an adequate dry. And please, please, please, make sure to stow your toothbrush away from your other bathroom accessories i.e. Razors, Lotions, Creams etc.

Keep Your Toothbrush To Yourself. Although sharing a toothbrush may seem like no biggie, dentists highly recommend against it. Not only are you swapping germs, but there is the possibility that you or the other may get each other sick.

Replace Your Toothbrush Often. According to the American Dental Association, you should get a new toothbrush at least every 3-4 months, and immediately after being sick. And don't ignore your frayed bristles, if your brush is in bad shape, get a fresh one!

Keep A Fresh Toothbrush With You On-The-Go. Anytime you are not at home and without access, your toothbrush and toothpaste is an ideal time to have a Brushee handy.

Just pop a Brushee out the pack and let our "pre-pasted" toothpaste in the bristles go to work for you. In less than sixty seconds, the job is done. And you have clean teeth and fresh breath in a jiffy!
